Spotlight Sunday: My Jewelry Stand

Hey guys!

So this week's Spotlight Sunday is a bit different and I hope you guys like it, because honestly - I LOVE IT!!

My new jewelry stand - made by my dad!

I was browsing through Pinterest, looking for jewelry storage ideas and I came across a photo of a stand that look just like the one in the photo and I actually managed to find it online. However it cost like 50$ + shipping + customs + tax and it simply wasn't worth the money, but then I realized is have a very handy dad who's great at building stuff :P

I showed him a photo of it and he built it! :D

Before I was storing my necklaces on two hooks which made it impossible to find anything and my earrings were tangled up in a box with a bunch of bracelets, so I basically never wore any jewelry, despite the fact that I have a bunch of it and love it.

I have two different ways to hang up my earrings and it makes finding things so much easier. For my regular earrings he just sawed in a little line and I can just stick them in there and they won't fall off. And for my longer, dangly earrings with hooks he just made tiny little holes so I can hang them up. He actually made the first holes a bit too high and a tiny bit too small so I could use them, but we managed to fix that and now the first holes just look like they're there for decoration.

I store my longer earrings that don't have hooks in the ''slots'' meant for regular ones and it works great (I chose to use the bottom row for them because I'm not able to store earrings with hooks on it).

My necklaces now hang on 7 different hooks instead of the two I had before. I separated them by length and style of the necklace and I use two hooks to hang my bigger, statement necklaces (on the right).

I love the way this turned out and I owe a huuuuuuge shout out to my dad for making this for me, I know it took a lot of patience and he's amazing for doing it :)

I use my jewelry way more often now which was kind of the point of all of this and everything looks a lot more organized and pretty + I gained a bunch of space by getting rid of all the boxes that used to hold my jewelry.

Anyway I hope you enjoyed this week's Spotlight Sunday I know it's not really fair to write about something you can't buy but I really wanted to share this with you, because I love it.
