Essence Hello Autumn palette and powder Review + FOTD

Hey guys!

Today I'm reviewing 2 products from the new Essence collection, Hello Autumn!!

I'm reviewing one of the eyeshadow palettes and the multi color powder.
I have the palette in 01 Walk In The Park.

It comes with 6 shimmery shades, all fairly warm brownish colors. It's packaging is clear and it comes with a double ended sponge-tip applicator.

Shade 1 is a very sheer shimmery light beige.

Shade 2 is a sheer yellow gold color.

Shade 3 is a shimmery pink beige.

Shade 4 is a very light brown.

Shade 5 is a classic shimmery brown with some very fine gold glitter.

Shade 6 is a cool toned dark brown.

All of the shades are quite sheer and don't swatch very well. I was a bit disappointed, considering how much better other recent Essence products have been. The eyeshadows apply a bit better with a brush but you still have to build them up quite a bit. However the blend beautifully and all of them are really soft.

The multi color powder that comes in this collection (shade 01 Autumn & the City) is very dark for a powder and has a lot of glow to it. I only use it as a light bronzer to wake up my complexion and add some glow. I find that if you apply it as a powder it can make you look far too shiny. I also enjoy applying it over my regular matte bronzer to add some shine.

I decided to add a quick FOTD to show you the products in action.
I started off with shade 3 on the inner two thirds of my eye and then blended shade 6 into the outer corner. I then added shade 5 over and above shade 6 to blend it out and add some warmth to the look. It was still looking a bit to dull for my taste so I pressed shade 2 all over the lid with my finger as a gold overlay and that really brightened things up. I then applied shade 1 as my inner corner and brow bone highlight. I curled my lashes and added some mascara and bronzed up my skin with the Multi Color Powder in 01 Autumn & the City.

Overall I really like the warm tones in this collection and it's a very practical one, as you can use these kind of shades all year round. I was slightly disappointed when it came to the pigmentation of the products, because we all know that Essence can and has done waaaaaaay better than this (let's not forget the amazingness of the All About Chocolates palette and the Smokey Eye Sets).
