CATRICE Eyeshadow Base (first impression)

Hey guys!

So as you know by know, Catrice came out with A LOT of new products!! And this eyeshadow base was one of them.
I'm always really skeptical when it comes to drugstore primers, because the only ones that have worked for me so far are the Urban Decay Primer Potion and the Zoeva Matte Eyeshadow Fix (which is in the drugstore price range, however it's only available online), so I was very interest to see how this would work out.

First of all I think that the packaging is very beautiful, sleek and matte! However a tube would have been a much more hygienic way to go (especially for those of us who do makeup for other people as well).

The consistency is surprisingly light and even though it looks like it's tinted, it applies completely transparent (if you're looking for something to cancel out veins this isn't the one).

The first thing I noticed was that it wasn't very sticky, which is rare for an eyeshadow primer. That made me think that it would really do anything (maybe improve the longevity but that's not all primers are for).
But I was very pleasantly surprised. My eyeshadows seemed to apply incredibly smoothly and I had absolutely no trouble blending them out (I always put some kind of light transition color in my crease to help blend other shades out, but with this one I didn't really feel the need to do that).

Here is the eye look I created (I used the Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 eyeshadow palette and yes, I filmed it).

I did my makeup around noon and took the photo in natural lighting with no flash.
Then I went out for a bit and avoided all mirrors so I wouldn't be tempted to fix any smudging.

This is the makeup at around 5:30 PM. It didn't crease!! And it's a seriously affordable primer, I think it's around 4€ or even less!! It didn't even fade! The colors may seem a bit different due to the artificial lighting.
And I'm writing this post at 10:10 PM and it's still in place!!

I'm seriously impressed with this one.
