Did I mention I bought some beauty products while I was in London?
Huh...It must have slipped my mind.
I don't know why, but I never liked the idea of this sponge. The flat side always bothered me, because I prefer to tap my foundation in, so I just felt that it wouldn't work for me.
My friend Polona bought it and I figured I'd get it too and at least I wouldn't have to pay for shipping.
I was very pleasantly surprised by it. It's incredibly soft and gives your foundation a very natural finish. The previous sponges I used didn't change if you used them wet (they didn't get any bigger or softer) and this one definitely gets much bigger and sooooooo much softer. I mean seriously, some of the cheap ones that I got on ebay and in drugstores are way too firm and borderline painful to use.
I love applying thicker, full coverage foundations with it, because it gives a much more natural finish than a brush and makes blending a lot easier. It does sheer it out a bit but you can always add a tiny bit more on the areas you want more coverage and you still wouldn't risk looking ridiculously cakey.
It cost 6,99£ in Boots and I really do recommend it. I don't own a beauty blender, so I can't really compare the two, but my friend does and she said that the Beauty blender is just a little bit softer but that the two are definitely very similar.
I hope this helped you guys and let me know what some of your favourite ways of applying foundation are!!
